Wow so rubbing some plant juice on my wrists is gonna cure the existential dread of living in 2025? Amazing! Next your going to tell me that crystals will fix my student loans too.

Been using peppermint oil every morning and I swear my anxiety has decreased alot. Maybe its placebo but honestly who cares if it works?

Sure, because what our overstimulated, technology-addicted, climate-anxious generation really needs is some expensive smelly liquids in tiny bottles. Big Pharma is shaking. The oil companies (the essential kind lol) are laughing all the way to the bank while we pretend sniffing eucalyptus is healthcare.

Your completely missing the point about WHY people are turning to alternative treatments. The healthcare system has failed us, medications have terrible side effects, and yes some natural remedies DO work. Maybe if doctors listened more people wouldnt feel forced to look elsewhere.

My therapist actually recommended I try this alongside my regular treatment and it does help! Not a cure but deffintely soothing.

This is exactly what I needed to read today! I’ve been using lavender oil for my anxiety and it works wonders. Finally someone talking about natural solutions instead of just pushing pills on everyone.

I tried explaining to my doctor that I’ve replaced my anxiety medication with frankincense oil and he looked at me like I’d grown a second head! Cant imagine why lmao. Anyway I’m back on my meds now and just use the oils for the nice smell which, shocker, is what there actually good for.

The rise of essential oils correlates with increased distrust in traditional medicine and the wellness industry capitalizing on mental health struggles. While aromatherapy has legitimate calming effects, calling it a ‘cure’ for anxiety in 2025 is misleading. Anxiety disorders require comprehensive treatment plans.

Oh great, another article promoting pseudo-science as a cure for mental health issues. Essential oils smell nice but there NOT replacing actual medical treatment. This kind of misinformation is actually dangerous for people suffering from real anxiety disorders.

For those interested, the most commonly used essential oils for anxiety according to recent studies are lavender, chamomile, and bergamot. The mechanism appears to work through the limbic system when inhaled. However its important to note that clinical evidence is still limited and they should compliment not replace professional treatment.

I completely disagree with this approach. Where’s the scientific evidence? Essential oils have not been properly tested in controlled clinical trials for anxiety treatment. Your basically asking people to ignore real medicine in favor of aromatherapy which has been around for centuries without proof.

This article conveniently ignores the fact that many essential oils can be toxic if used improperly, cause allergic reactions, and interact with medications. Your not mentioning any of the risks and thats irresponsible journalism.
